Walk To Bethlehem

Walk To Bethlehem 7 December 3 - 5 Click Here For Details

The Walk To Bethlehem is an exciting journey back in time to the sights and sounds of ancient life, in Jesus' day: the grinding of grain, the weaving of cloth, the pressing of oil, the tending of animals.

Strolling through the Walk, pilgrims experience artisans at work, hear ancients debate the Scriptures, sample local delicacies, and watch the ever-present Romans keep the peace.

Included in this hands-on experience are several dramas which look at Christmas from a contemporary point of view, a whimsical puppet show for children (grown-up and otherwise), one of several documentary reports from our very own television channel (Bethlehem Network News), and a live re-creation of the Nativity Scene.

And more!

Children delight in our Make-and-Take Craft Tent, with crafts designed just for them, and everyone is welcome at the Ancient Near Eastern Photo Studio for a take-home souvenir photograph in Palestinian garb.

The last stop on the journey is an exciting live music venue, the Shining Star Café, where one can relax and be refreshed by food, drink, merry talk, fine music, and generous doses of God's welcome, served with love.

The Walk is always free of charge, and is our loving gift to the City's people.

Christmas Pageants Make Real What We Already Believe - read the article

This is what people have been saying about St. Andrew's annual Walk to Bethlehem, now in its 7th year of production.

Awesome!
Thank you! I’ve missed my church due to my children’s sports. Your open doors were an answer to my prayers and needs.

Wonderful––better than well done. My granddaughter (6 years old) did not want to leave. She just wanted to “see Jesus.”

A wonderful, enjoyable event! I am very impressed with how much work went into all areas. So much detail and wonderful warm-hearted people. Thank you for the experience.

Thank you for sharing the real meaning of Christmas to our community. I hope it will be an annual event for Penticton.

Very enjoyable and just what I needed in preparation for Christmas.
